Notes to....
Jul. 3rd, 2006 03:30 pmNote to self:
Remember -- even if the car you're driving has the ability to display the outside temperature, don't give in to the temptation to look on a really hot day. Confirmation that it really is 100F on the rooftop parking garage is only going to make you feel hotter.

Note to whoever dressed Orlando for the London POTC2 premiere:
Have you actually ever seen your client? He's a tall, slender, long-waisted man with broad shoulders. Next time, please at least take his measurements before you tailor a suit for him. Maybe that way it won't look like the world's most beautiful man got his suit off the rack in the boys department of JC Penney, and he'll quit fidgeting with his clothes because they finally fit.
No love,
Me

Note to whoever dressed Keira for the London POTC2 premiere:
A long skirt and a strategically placed (and hopefully glued in place) sash does not a dress make. The fact that anyone who's ever seen Domino already knows exactly what's under the sash is no excuse.
No love,
Me

Note to whoever dressed Johnny for the London POTC2 premiere:
Nice hat!

Note to whoever dresses Viggo for his public appearances:
Dear Mr. Mortensen,
Your style is certainly unique, but at least all your clothes actually fit. Maybe you could give the person who dresses yourpartner former co-star whom you haven't seen in years a few hints so that your partner former co-star whom you haven't seen in years will look more like his gorgeous self at his next premiere.
Love,
Me

At this rate I won't even be able to sit through the movie. Not that I was planning on it anyway. But, you know. :P

Date: 2006-07-03 11:27 pm (UTC)I'll definitely be seeing the movie, Friday afternoon in fact, but then again I'm sure you never had a doubt. :P

Date: 2006-07-03 10:46 pm (UTC)Not to say that I wouldn't love to see him in a really sharply tailored three piece suit, because I think he's look fantastic. But I don't know that it would be "him."

Date: 2006-07-03 11:25 pm (UTC)I don't mind Orlando's odd fashion sense when he actually seems comfortable in his clothes. But so many times I've seen him pulling at his suit or buttoning/unbottoning the jacket, and while I know part of that is probably nervous mannerisms, it also makes me think he's not entirely comfortable in whatever he's wearing.
(sorry about the double reply, but some typos should not be allowed to live *g*)

Date: 2006-07-03 11:25 pm (UTC)In a way, it really fascinates me, though. I remember shortly after Titanic came out, Leonardo DiCaprio must have done everything humanly possible to make himself look less attractive than what he is/was any time he had to appear in public. It always seemed to me like it was an incredibly desperate attempt to make people not like him so much so that he could have his life back. For whatever reason, I see a lot of that in Orlando, too.
I really should stop attempting to psychoanalyze people I have never and will never meet... :P

Date: 2006-07-04 12:06 am (UTC)And I have seen so many people say how gorgeous she looked. WTF? Yes, that is a great color for her. But you can see her internal organs. And they are asking to be fed.
And someone needs to teach him how to use a hair brush. Bless his heart.

Date: 2006-07-04 06:28 am (UTC)And Kiera was so lovely at the LA premiere, so what happened? And did they glue that dress to her tits, so it wouldn't fly free in a breeze?
But Johnny, bless him, is true to himself as usual. *hearts Johnny*

Date: 2006-07-05 01:33 am (UTC)I certainly hoped they glued the top half, what little there was, of Keira's dress to her. Wouldn't want a wardrobe malfunction at the premiere for a Disney movie, now would we. :P

Date: 2006-07-05 01:35 am (UTC)No kidding! And he'd probably be more comfortable in it too. *Every* time I've seen him in an interview when he's wearing a suit coat, he's constantly futzing with buttoning/unbuttoning the thing.

Date: 2006-07-04 04:12 pm (UTC)You are so right!
Orlando: hair up or hair down - pick one please! Half and half won't do.
Keira: First time I've ever seen her in a dress I absolutely hate. It just did nothing for her.
Just boggles my mind that someone let either of them out in public looking the way they did. :)
